Rachelle was born to a coal mining family in rural West Virginia. She has one brother who is ten years older so she often found ways to amuse herself. She played outside running through the woods or built things with legos. She liked squirrel hunting with her father, swimming at her mammaws and coloring or playing paper dolls. She was not a social kid outside of school. She Attended Clay-Battelle High School where she joined the band because her friends coerced her into playing sax. She enjoyed music and had a natural ability. In her senior year she was the marching band's field commander. She and 4 of her frineds formed a vocal jazz group and would sing at malls, elderly homes, and various resturaunts and venues in the tri-state area. She graduated in 1999 but still remained active in the jazz group. That fall she enrolled in West Virginia University where she majored in Advertising. The creative side of advertising was ignored and Rachelle decided to pick up a double major in the Fine Arts as well. She worked as an Ad Prodction Foreman for four years at WVU's newspaper, The Daily Athenaeum. During this time she also freelanced as a photographer at The Charleston Daily Mail, as well as shooting senior portraits and weddings. In June of 2004 she married Mike Mainhart, who used to coreograph lighting for her vocal group. He joined the Navy in January of 2003 and after a tour to Bahrain was stationed in Ingleside, TX. Rachelle became pregnant in A0pril and the couple is expecting a baby girl in January 2006.
